SK-4 (Certain Spouses of a Deceased SK-1)

 

 

Fourth preference SK-4 immigrants consists of the surviving spouse of a deceased officer or employee of an international organization recognized by the United States who has maintained the status of a G-4 nonimmigrant, has resided and been physically present in the United States for periods totaling at least one-half of the seven years before the visa petition date or for adjustment of status to SK-4 and for a period or periods totaling at least fifteen years before the date of the death of such officer or employee.

 

The immigrant petition must be filed no later than six months after the date of the international organization employee's death or six months after the date of the enactment of the Immigration Technical Corrections act of 1988, whichever is later.
